New Best Friend

Adam has a new best friend. It is a silly, little, stuffed, red bird from an activity center we are borrowing. He loves this bird. He reaches for it, chews on it and even yells at it. Yes, our sweet little quiet boy loves to yell at this dumb red bird. Sometimes he gets so aggressive he seems a little primal. Oh well, thanks go to the bird who keeps my boy happy and busy.

First Kiss

Adam must have decided that Emily is his favorite- at least his favorite person to puke on. It seems at least once a week he barfs in her hair or all over her cloths and down her arm. Perhaps it is his way of returning the favor for all the (sometimes excessive) attention she gives him. All the same, I think it only appropriate that Adam gave his first kiss to his sissy. After all the thousands and thousands of kisses she has given him, she got his first.

Getting Big

Adam is 3 months old as of last week and he has decided it must be a serious mile stone. He has started grabbing things, giving kisses, rolling to the side, mimicking others, and has become ticklish! Josh and Adam are having the best of times together. Josh loves to read to Adam and Emily. He is especially good and using funny voices for different characters. When I see them together like this I think perhaps there might be some hope for me as a parent after all.

The next day

Here is a picture of my hair the next day. I didn't realize it would keep getting lighter even after I took the coloring off!

Why You Shouldn't Bet (or Why Jen Won't Sleep in the Same Bed With Me)

I lost a bet. A big one. Well, I lost a couple of ways. We started a Biggest Loser competition at work. I knew I would win. The big day arrived today. I didn't win. I came in third.

So what was it my lost? Not much. Just a few dollars...and my dignity.

I've learned my lesson. I won't be betting anyone again...at least for a few weeks.
